I haven't loaded it up yet, but it's sitting under the wall mounted TV looking like it's ready for duty. It's narrow and hugs the wall; just right for a VCR, maybe a couple short bookshelf speakers, and even a receiver. I like it! The wood looks stylish contrasting with the black finished support brackets. I would not be afraid to load it up with heavy things on the bottom, working my way up to lighter things on the top. It is not meant to hold a TV on the top shelf. Components only. But with the TV wall mounted above it, we stylin'. The comfort level exceeded expectations. Assembly was straightforward.
