I think the media enclosure is great. I currently have two of them in two different households. In the pic with the numbers on the components I have 1) An Arris NVG468MQ ISP Gateway 2) Remote temp 3) Cheap TV Antennae 4) TL-SG108E TP-link 8 port switch 5) TL-SG1005P 5-Port PoE+ Switch 6) ISP ONT (Fiber) 7) Minisforum Z83-F to manage some of those listed items.
In the other pic starting in the lower left corner and moving clockwise is an Arris BGW210-700 ISP Gateway. Above that is a Noctua NF-A6x25 fan sitting atop a Leviton 47612-DBK WH which is the perfect size to place a MeLE Quieter3C Fanless Mini PC underneath. The PC ran hot to the touch so I put a fan on it got a temp difference of 30+ degrees below what it was running. I use this PC to manage most of the listed components. Above that is a WR120B Midland Weather Radio. To the right of that is a Tempest Weather System Wi-Fi Hub (base station). To the right of that is the ISP ONT for fiber. Below that is a TL-SG105MPE 5-Port PoE+ Switch. Below that is a TL-SG105PE 5-Port PoE+ Switch. To the left of that is a Raspberry Pi 4 with a POE HAT (B) for Raspberry Pi 4B/3B+, with 0.91" OLED. Sitting below the Leviton 49605-AUB Plastic Universal Shelf Brackets are short flat plugs for all of the above devices. And those are plugged into 2 Leviton 47605-ACS J-Box Surge Protective outlets. If I had to do it over I think I would have gone for the larger 42 version (the 49605-42E)
At both locations I had the room to put the larger 42 version but decided against it thinking I would never fill up the 28. It's not exactly a regret, but knowing space would not be a constraint if I decided to add anything else in either of the cabinets would have been nice. It fits well with our furniture setup.
I added a dual fan setup on each side, one in one out, controlled by this awesome temp control. I can't speak highly enough about this setup. My PS4 always runs cool WITH the door completely shut on my cabinet. And that's saying a lot considering I play a lot of modern warfare which normally makes this console run hot. I've had it all set up for months now and it's the best set and forget setup I've ever had. Not to mention how fresh and pro it looks. High quality items, here. Get yourself a jigsaw to create the holes in your cabinet, some LEDs if you're feeling it, and take your AV cabinet to the next level. It fits well with our furniture setup. Assembly was straightforward.
