Since this rack comes assembled, it is the easiest thing in the world to set up.
Some of the lower reviews have commented on quality; they must be crazy. For home use, it's absolutely fantastic. The rails are solid, door hinges are well in place, and I have no concern about quality. The comfort level exceeded expectations.
Works great as a behind the couch power access/table. We purchased another one after the first one worked so well to put behind our other couch arm. The comfort level exceeded expectations.
This fan kit works well to keep my TV and associated gear running cool. The control panel has some nice features - allowing you to either keep the fan on all the time (at your selected speed), to have it controlled thermostatically (at your selected speed), or to have it respond automatically by increasing the speed to match the load. The temperature sensor is at the end of a moderate length of wire, so you can place it in a critical location. You can hook up multiple fan units to run off the same controller. And the fans and the controller come with handy templates for cutting out a hole in the cabinet.
The fans blow "in" to your cabinet, assuming the metal plate is on the outside. If this is a problem for you, you can remove the fans from the plate and install them in the reverse direction. There doesn't seem to be a way to reverse the fan direction through the controller, probably because the fan blades are optimized for one direction of rotation.
The original unit that I received did not work properly - it made an unsatisfying noise when the fans were at medium or low speed. I contacted the company directly and they were very responsive. They diagnosed the problem, owned up to it, and sent me a replacement unit free of charge that solved the problem.
The only thing I don't like about it is that I haven't figured out how to make the backlight turn off. I would prefer it if the backlight only stayed on for a short time in response to pressing the buttons, but it seems to stay illuminated continuously. If this will be a problem for you, plan on covering or hiding the controller somehow.
Overall, nice product, well made, good price, and excellent and responsive customer service.

Update: after posting that the backlight won't turn off, the company emailed me to explain how to change the setting! Thanks! Now I am completely satisfied. The comfort level exceeded expectations. Very happy with the purchase overall.
