This has helped clean up my cabinet so much. I used to have a little power strip that would fall out every time i opened the cabinet, pulling the router out with it. It works great as a table piece in our home.
I purchased this to expand my shelving real estate for my Blu-ray collection, but needed something that was shorter than the height of my light switches. The spacing of the shelves is perfect for this, but I should note, that if you want to use all the shelves evenly spaced out, you will not be able to fit DVD cases vertically.
Item arrived disassembled and requires construction, but the instructions were very easy to follow and all the pieces fit together nicely. To assemble, you will need a philips screw driver (I used an electric one) and a hammer. Installing the backing is really the only tricky part. Just make sure the nails are straight and do not go through the side of the board, which mine did not.
Do not get me wrong, this is definitely what I would call disposable furniture, but for the money, it was exactly what I was expecting and does not look terrible. I saw a few reviews complaining that it was not stable, which is technically correct. It is a rather slim, so this is to be expected, but in fairness, it does come with a wall anchor and adding heavier items to the bottom shelf certainly helps stabilize it.
If you have at least a little knack for DIY and keep your expectations in check, I can certainly recommend this for an economic shelving solution. The price is certainly more than fair for what it is. It works great as a table piece in our home. Assembly was straightforward.
