A box like this is a necessity if mounting a Samsung Frame TV flush against the wall. It provides the perfect place to house the Samsung One Connect controller for the TV. It fits perfectly between 16OC wall studs and is attached with screws (not included) screwed into the sides of the studs, unlike some other brands which require additional wallboard removal for face-mounted screw tabs. The cover is optional (we chose not to install it at this time as the TV covers the box).
This box is much less expensive than the plastic models from other manufacturers.
There are plenty of knockouts for cables and 2 to add metal receptacle boxes for electrical outlets.
Note: I removed about a 3 section of the lip at the bottom on one side of the front of the box in order for the One Connect to slide into the box. It took about a minute to remove it using an oscillating tool (a hacksaw or metal cutting blade in a jigsaw would also work). Just make a couple of cuts in the lip then bend the cut section back and forth with pliers to break it off cleanly. It fits well with our furniture setup.
