I was a little concerned ordering this after reading some of the negative reviews, but I was (thankfully) pleasantly surprised about how well the experience went. I'd also ordered the three-tier bookshelf from the same collection as well.
A few notes:
1. Everything was packaged really well. Nothing was out of place or arrived scratched or damaged. The styrofoam will kind of sprinkle everywhere when removing it from the box.
2. It was incredibly easy to assemble. Did it by myself in under 30 minutes. The instructions were simple and located between the styrofoam and the box. Pay attention to the way the pieces are set in the diagram!!
3. The wood panels had a nice texture to them. I was concerned that they would be paper-flat, but they weren't.
4. The weathered gray color I chose was great, but the tone wasn't quite right for the room, so I spray painted the shelves. No prep was needed other than a quick wipe with a damp paper towel and then a dry one.
6. The height is exactly 29.5 inches after assembling.
I'm really happy with my purchase. The matching bookshelf came out perfectly, too! I hope these notes help someone in making their decision. It fits well with our furniture setup. The quality really stands out.
