I have my computer in an enclosed wooden cabinet. It overheats when gaming. I cut two rectangles out of the side of the cabinet. The fans are hight on the side to vent warm air. I love the smart mode where the fans speed up as needed, it has no problem keeping the cabinet at 78 deg F. I don't notice fan nose ever. It fits well with our furniture setup.
