The reading corner has a better sense of balance with this wall sconce in place. It works with the rest of the room instead of competing with it. When friends are over, it simply feels like part of the room.

Wednesday quiet weekend reset is a surprisingly good test of how naturally this wall sconce fits the bedroom. The space feels more complete while still feeling like our home. I like it most when the room is being lived in rather than perfectly styled. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.

The room changed at a good moment for us; after my birthday, this wall sconce made the update feel a little more personal. The square format was one of the details that made this version work for the space I had in mind. The whole area feels easier to enjoy now without looking overly arranged.
