Around moving into the new place, we added this wall sconce, and it made the update feel a little more personal. The space feels more complete while still feeling like our home. It has quietly become part of the way the room feels at the end of the day. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.

I would choose this wall sconce again, though my first idea for the hallway was not the one we kept.

Monday rainy dinner prep is when this wall sconce feels most at home in the living room. The longer it is here, the less I think of it as a new purchase. The whole area feels easier to enjoy now without looking overly arranged. The room feels better for having it there.
