I've had a large foyer/buffet cabinet in my foyer since we moved here a few years ago. I liked it, but it was too large for the space. I've never been into furniture with glass on it, but I liked how it felt like it took up no space and opened up the area. This arrived yesterday, and was very easy and quick to put together. It felt sturdy. I think it's the perfect size and look. Very happy with my purchase and wish I had done it years ago. It fits well with our furniture setup.
This is a simply great media stand. It looks great. It is very easy to assemble and is more than sturdy enough to support a full stereo system (receiver-amplifier, phono, 5 disk CD deck) as well as dozens of CDs. I highly recommend it. It fits well with our furniture setup. The quality really stands out.
Finally got everything installed and have to say I'm really glad I did this. I installed this in existing construction b/c I wanted a dedicated network enclosure so I could get rid of some of the mess in the different rooms. I installed the router (have an AP for wireless), cable modem, 8 port switch, POE adapter for my access point, and power strip in the enclosure, plus ran Cat5e for EVERYTHING in my house, including spares.
Highly recommended and Amazon's price was cheaper than other sites due to hidden shipping charges.
Tip: Use a stud finder to make sure there is ample room when installing this. :) I installed it behind my laundry room door in a space where there was an irregular gap (smaller than 18") due to the proximity to a wall (intersecting hallway). It fits well with our furniture setup. Assembly was straightforward.
