I have a great console for my receiver, cable box, and whatever else. But it gets HOT in there when the equipment is running! Without this fan, my only option (and not a particularly effective one) is to keep the cabinet door open all the time. But this is a really good solution. I installed an intake fan low on the cabinet, and an exhaust fan at the top (not shown). The thermostat controls both fans! When the temp inside the cabinet reaches the temp setting, the intake fan pulls cooler air in, and the exhaust fan pulls the overheated air out. Installation was very easy (particularly because the back of my cabinet is particleboard and out of sight, so no one could see if I messed up. Black duct tape is also a thing!). The product comes with templates, so you don't have to guess how big to cut the holes. Trace and cut! The product also includes wood screws and screws with nuts, so you can choose the fastener that best meets your needs. The fans are set to exhaust when they arrive. The instructions in the enclosed leaflet show how to change the fan to intake, if you need to (as I did). For context, I'm not particularly technically inclined. I can read instructions and follow, but I'm not going to build furniture or assemble a rocket ship. Connecting the stereo and TV wires more or less where they belong is almost more than I feel like doing. But I managed to do this just fine. The comfort level exceeded expectations.
Very sturdy and was easily to put together. I put this together by myself in about 30-45 min. Gives you all the necessary items, to include a screwdriver. Love the look of them too! The comfort level exceeded expectations. Very happy with the purchase overall.
