This is a box for network or other electronic equipment which you want to keep accessible but out of the way. It's clearly designed to mount between studs which are spaced a standard 16" apart on center, but has mount points in the back as well as around the frame if you wish to mount it directly on a wall. Once the box itself is mounted, you can attach the front frame and door, which hide the stud mount screw holes in case you opted to use them. The door has some vented slats which are not large or close together enough to allow much forced airflow, but should allow enough passive exchange to keep heat from accumulating too much.
All of this is made from plastic which feels really solid, and if you're not abusing it should last pretty much indefinitely in the intended indoor environment. Mounting hardware is included for the box and frame, as well as rubber grommets for the top cable ports and a couple of shelves which easily slot into columns of mount holes on either the left or right half of the box. These shelves allow you to partition up the box without having to attach your devices to the back wall or ceiling somehow, and thereby fit more devices into it. In the bottom, there are a couple of rectangular holes which can fit standard outlet covers/work boxes. At 28", this is a fairly tall box - more than enough to fit a standard 19" rackmount device, as long as it's not very deep and only 1U tall, which describes a lot of 24-48 port switches. If you're looking at consumer router or cable modem-sized devices, you can fit several of them easily; just make sure they can handle the heat they all emit.
I am still figuring out where exactly I want to mount this in a new office building, partly because I could do a lot of things with it but also because I realized that finding the studs is a pain with plywood interior paneling. I am confident though that it will deliver on looks and function once I finally get it in. The comfort level exceeded expectations.

Love the simple design on the doors.
You push in the doors to open it.
It's also spacious inside and you can adjust the shelves to your liking!
The legs are nice and it's the perfect height!
There were no missing parts and everything aligned perfectly.
I used it as part of my entryway in my living room as I needed a space for guest's shoes and my printer.
I purchased two, then purchased another and it was perfect for my personal needs! 3 also looked better in the space! The comfort level exceeded expectations.
Easy to install, fits well on the rack, sturdy, works well.
The included "back shell" helps to relieve the tension of the cables. The comfort level exceeded expectations. Assembly was straightforward.
