I used this to replace a round thermal tech computer fan I used on the back of our computer desk to create inward ventilation over and around the closed UPS compartment and the air which then passes through to the connecting open compartment for the main desktop computer. I have had a heat buildup problem in the UPS compartment that lead to the premature death of a backup battery one time. The old noisy thermal tech fan died so I needed a replacement. I used a Dremel with cutter wheel (number 426) to easily slice through the thin wood on the back of the desk without splintering the thin wood. (Wear a filter mask and eye protection while doing this!) Because of the where the original fan hole was and the way the oak desk is built the control panel is a bit off in position. This is on the back of the desk so this isn't a big deal.
Pros: Easy installation, runs very, very, quiet, good adequate mounting hardware included, variable speed that can change with a set temperature. When temperature is cool enough, below set point, the fan will actually shut off to save energy. Can be locked to keep from accidental changes to settings. Display has adjustable brightness. You can change the direction of air flow with a bit of disassembly and patience. If I feel I need more air flow I can add more fans but so far, this single one is doing the job. Face plate is metal with a metal screened guard on each side.
Cons: Wished they would have included washers with the hardware kit. Makes a momentary low whiny noise when changing speeds. The clear plastic template for the control panel is a bit too flimsy which makes it hard to hold in place while being used as a template vertically. Wished the connections were on the bottom and not on the back so it could be mounted in the inside of a door panel with double-sided tape, if need be. The comfort level exceeded expectations. The quality really stands out.
This table provides a lot of great storage behing the couch. I was looking for just a basic table but this one also has a shelf for almost double the storage! It's deep enough to put my 15 inch laptop on the bottom shelf when im not using it. The table was a few inches shorter than I wanted bit I was able to find leg risers on Amazon that fixed that problem easily enough. Overall we love it! The comfort level exceeded expectations.
