This item works great (i think) but i never realized it would be so challenging to set up a Raid 5 NAS. Took me about three days to get it set up, and I'm pretty sure that some of the features have not been enabled or installed.
I consider myself fairly familiar with my PC -but i wish i knew more.
To get it working finally i had to reinstall windows, since none of the tweaks i found on the internet worked. And the videos i watched, though very extensive, seemed to assume i knew more than i did.
The unit seems to be designed to act as a small business server since it has some features/add ons such as an email server, surveillance server, etc.
But if you have a clean windows installed the automatic setup works well
The only pr blem i have right now is that my act on is backup program barfe every time i set up an automatic backup

But i definitely don't regret getting it. It fits well with our furniture setup.
