Bought the T9, with 3 fans and controller to keep my AVR cooler, which is on shelf in open front cabinet (but with just a few inches of clearance above and on sides). The controller has nice features/modes and is easy to understand without instructions (ie: after you loose/misplace). I installed it in cut-out directly behind my AVR. With ambient temp of 74 in room, running at modest volume, with temp prob about an inch over AVR, fan off, temp was 100 to 101. Switched fan controller on, to Smart mode (set at 82, so fan automatically went to highest speed), and temp dropped/settled to 84~85. The fan unit and controller are very nice looking - too bad fan unit is out of sight. In addition to multiple modes, controller display can be switched off (if lighted screen bothers you). Only gripe, and its minor, is relatively short power cord. Satisfied purchaser. It works great as a table piece in our home. Assembly was straightforward.
