I had a box installed during construction of our house 15 years ago. The before was years of the rats nest and poor cable management. The 476TM is a huge improvement for routing and cable management. Took me a bit to remember my termination skills. But in total it only took me an hour to complete. It fits well with our furniture setup.
This review is for the 150 x 150 x 90mm/5.9" x 5.9" x 3.5"(L*W*H) size box. I am using it to protect my Victron 75/10 Solar Charge Controller. The box seems like it was custom built to fit this Solar Charge Controller.
The box is made of heavy plastic. It is thick and very sturdy. The weather seal forms a watertight seal. And the stainless steel latches are nice and strong. The stainless steel mounting tabs seem to be a little oversized, but that is just cosmetic. The mounting tabs are thick and beefy. I have no doubt they will hold up over time.
I am going to mount this on the firewall of my boat. I have a 50 watt solar panel I will be using to keep my battery topped off while in storage. I have not done it yet, but I will be sealing the wire through holes with silicone to keep it water tight. It fits well with our furniture setup. The quality really stands out.
