Was so easy to install and everything fit perfectly very pleased It fits well with our furniture setup. The quality really stands out.
I run a small media server in a closed wood/MDF media center cabinet along with a modem and wireless router. The components are jammed in pretty tight, taking up probably 80% of the total cabinet volume. My hard drives were running too hot, around 52C. Installing just one of these fans in the back of the cabinet as an exhaust dropped my temps to 42C, running on USB power at medium fan speed (whisper quiet). I can get them down to about 40C at higher fan speeds but the air flow volume starts to become noticeable in my living room. The fan mechanism itself is quiet, comparable to the Noctua fan in my server case.
If I were to add a fresh air intake fan I am pretty sure I could get the cabinet close to ambient temperature. It's not necessary for my purposes although it's something you would want to consider if you were overclocking or otherwise running very hot with your components. The small amount of air that enters through the gaps around the cabinet door is enough to keep things from getting too toasty.
Installation is simple as long as you have some experience and the right tools to cut a hole in your cabinet. The included stencil for marking the center square and mounting screws is very nice.
Great product which performs exactly as needed - moderate cooling with minimal sound. It fits well with our furniture setup.
