So easy to put together! Bought 3 and was done in 2 hrs. They are sturdy, as pictured, and will work great in our craft room! The comfort level exceeded expectations. Looks even better in person.
Installed my receiver in large drawer below my TV with all the stereo wiring going through patch panels on the back of the drawer. Extremely tight place for a receiver but I wanted to keep everything hidden including intake and exhaust ports. This fan thermostat was mounted in the back of the drawer and controls two 80mm fans which "push" air from below the receiver and and two 120mm fans which "pull" or draws air from various points above the receiver. Both sets of fans are also from AC Infinity and the probe is taped to the top of the vents of the receiver.
I am extremely pleased with this setup. You have to play with the individual fan speed settings for the ideal amount of air movement to fan noise which is remarkably quiet. I use the "smart" setting at 80 degrees which kicks on the fans at a low speed well before 80 if it notices the temps going up. Fan ramps up if it goes above 80 and the noise is only noticeable if everything is off but very tolerable.
I noticed that even with the receiver off (but plugged in), the receiver will heat up well over 100 degrees without active cooling. I don't want to even guess how hot it would get when the receiver is actually pumping music out.
Provides a very clean professional look to my setup so the coolness factor (pun intended) is well worth the price. Absolutely necessary if you want to prevent your stereo from failing prematurely.
The only con is that these thermostats are currently not being sold here on amazon for some reason. I'm waiting to get another two for my PC and my media cabinet. The comfort level exceeded expectations. Looks even better in person.
