Sprinkler timer was indoor only and I didn't want to run the wires into the garage, so I put this box where the old timer was and stuck it inside. Stays dry and I like that I can see the status LEDs through the clear door. I bought another smaller one for a RGB LED controller for my pool light that also was not supposed to be exposed to the weather. The storage and design are exactly what we needed. It fits perfectly in our space.
