Originally I had a mini-internal fan on my Raspberry Pi 5 computer directly over its CPU, with the Pi being enclosed within a metal case and equipped with an NVMe hard drive. After a week the original internal fan started making a lot of noise. Arghhh.

So I opted for this much larger, external fan instead. I placed this external fan beneath the Raspberry Pi 5, so its perforated metal closure rested on it, directing the airflow up from the bottom and across the Pi. Note: to best accommodate this, I had to place a support below this internal fan so it would draw in maximum air at high speed, else it would suffocate.

Results: the Raspberry Pi 5's CPU cooled down from 70C to 49C at maximum workload. And every other sensor on the board cooled between 18-21C as well. One other note: I would not recommend using the fan at an angle as you can begin to hear some noise, and after a long time, I would assume bearings may pre-maturely wear out. It fits well with our furniture setup.

I love the roaring twenties vibe that these half moon pulls give me. It's so unique and fun that they are off-set. They are nice solid metal, very durable, and have a beautiful smooth matte black finish. High quality and would be great for a refinishing project on a mid century or 1920s, or 1930s furniture piece. It fits well with our furniture setup.
