I received this fantastic cooling fan today and installed it. I have a Denon AVR amplifier in a narrow entertainment center running 5.1 Klipsch Signature Series speakers using 14 gauge speaker wire. Prior to mounting the fan, the amplifier got 101 degrees without the fan on (even with the cabinet doors wide open) when cranking the volume for even 6-7 minutes so I simply had to decrease the volume. Mounting the fan directly UNDER the vents blowing the air THROUGH the amplifier with the auto setting at 85 degrees, the amp quickly reached that temp and the fan powered up. The fan actually decreased the temp to a steady 84 degrees even with the volume cranked AND with the cabinet doors closed! Once the fan engages at your desired setting, it will continue to run to drop the temp 2 to 4 degrees lower before shutting off depending how you set it. Needless to say, I'm stoked. Excessive heat destroys electronics in no time. This single fan was $50 bucks, took 20 minutes ( I know, I'm slow) to install. The quality and workmanship is excellent. The module is easily readable at a good distance. It's now been over 1/2 hour at a screaming nice volume, doors closed, temp still reading steady at 84 degrees. I absolutely recommend this product! It works great as a table piece in our home. The quality really stands out.
