We had a home built for us and they were going to use by default a 14" metal box. I purchased this one and installed it when then they were through with framing and starting wiring. Now we are in and I have the space I need. Gave me room for a small battery backup, Xfinity modem and y Asus AXR86 router. The venting keeps it cool and the extra 1/2 " the plastic case gives over the metal gave the space necessary for my router to actually fit in with the door closed. The plastic of course allows for the wifi signal to travel freely - which is great as it reaches all parts of the home as well as my BHyve sprinkler controller outside. It fits well with our furniture setup. Looks even better in person.
I needed a TV stand for a sitting room but didn't want to spend too much because it might not be permanent. This actually looks really nice and I'm pleased with the purchase. It fits well with our furniture setup.
