I am using to pull hot air out of entertainment cabinent that has a PC in it, this unit works great, love the variable speed. Its much more quiet then the A/C 120V model that I purchased from same brand. This is perfect for venting Cabinents or using with electronics. I did have to use hardware from other unit as this one is designed to just lay on top of electronics with vents. This can be solved with 50cents hardware if you want to mount different. I love the foam disc dampeners as well. All in all great value for the price and I will likely order more as the need arises. I like ergonomic setups and this helps with venting while keeping the family happy! The storage and design are exactly what we needed.

This one unit solved 2 separate cooling issues at once!

Placed the fan unit in a separation wall between two areas within the cabinet. This solved a heat issue on the side with my son's gaming consoles by pulling air in from that side. It is then pushing air directly into the side of my Denon AVR-X4400H and center channel shelf. I placed the sensor on the far side of my receiver in front of the side vents. I set the temperature to 85, which seemed to be the default setting if I remember correctly. This unit is not only functional, it also looks great. Showed on person so far and they said, "Wow, this looks professional, maybe you should start installing these in consoles for resale." I will take that as a compliment more on the product then my handy work. ;)

Side Note: IMHO - We were looking at some consoles that included cooling equipment and infrared repeaters built-in but, they cost 3 to 5 times a much. We wanted to brings some warmth and character to the room with an industrial and natural wood cabinet.
